Our Mission
TIKKUN OLAM
Ani v'atah n'shaneh et ha-olam - Together, you and I will change the world! That's our charge at Camp Menorah this summer, and we are 'All Hands In.' Throughout the summer, campers will engage in projects to give back to our community and learn how we can all work together towards the goal of Tikkun Olam, fixing the world. Combine this with summer camp favorites like sports, singing, art, water games and field trips, and you have a summer full of both fun and learning. Each day, campers will participate in all-camp activities like opening circle and chugim (electives) such as sports, arts and crafts, drama, and reading development. We help all kids thrive, learn, and grow.
Safety & Transportation
Campers are assigned to groups according to age and grade. Each group has a trained and reliable team of counselors responsible for their safety. For identification purposes, camp t-shirts, free with registration, must be worn on all field trips. Transportation for all field trips will be provided in buses equipped with seat belts and driven by trained, experienced and licensed bus drivers.Hot Lunch & Food Guidelines
All of our campers can sign up for our Kosher-style Hot Lunch Program, or bring a lunch from home (no refrigeration available). Absolutely NO PEANUTS are allowed at Camp Menorah. Lunches on Beach and Field Trip days should be packed in disposable bags and clearly labeled.
About Camp
Camp Menorah KEF (K - 5th GRADE)
Kef means FUN, and that's the plan for summer! Campers are grouped by age and/or grade, led by both senior and junior counselors. In addition to the camp activities, each week includes both a trip to the beach and a field trip. Programs stimulate camper imagination, provide Jewish experiential learning, and promote active fun, making the camp experience like no other!Camp Menorah Mitzvah (6th - 8th GRADE)
A new opportunity at Camp Menorah! The Mitzvah group will spend some time at camp helping with our 'All Hands In' programs, as well as participating in leadership training and their own service projects. We combine fun with personal growth, community service and building lasting friendships.CIT's (Counselors in training: 9th - 12th GRADE)
Our counselor-in-training program is geared to the camper who is ready for more responsibility. The CITs will contribute to all aspects of camp, from planning programs and activities to assisting camper groups, chugim and all-camp events. Along the way they will work with staff to develop and hone their skills in the areas of organization, leadership, planning and responsibility.
